Homemade Whole Wheat Tortillas Recipe
By Sarah Pachev
* 2 cups whole wheat flour
* 1 tsp baking powder
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 2 T olive oil
* 1/2 cup warm tap water
Combine flour, Baking powder and salt. Add olive oil and stir until well combined. Put in warm tap water 1 T at a time until dough can be gathered into a ball. Add more water if needed 1 T at a time. Knead on floured surface 15-20 times. Let dough rest for 15 minutes (when I'm pregnant and making it I rest too!!) Divide dough into 10-12 equal portions and shape into balls. On floured surface roll out ball from center into a circle. Cook on ungreased skillet over medium-high heat on each side about 30 seconds or until puffy. You can cook them longer until they are crisp like a big chip. My daughter loves the crispy ones. Wrap them in a towel to stay warm. Great with Refried Beans and Spanish Rice. I also love them as a dessert with honey and butter on them...yum I want some right now.

don't forget to stay natural and shop in our store for organic products to detoxify and be healthy!
Natures Gate Organics, we do not recommend the use of these products and you will not find Nature's Gate in our online store. Recently we had the opportunity to give this product a test drive. Here at natural e market one of our number one reasons for being in business is so that we can help other consumers find exactly which organic and natural products are the best for use.
Natures Gate organic products contain the number one preservative that natural e market stands against, EDTA. We have stated in several of our other articles that EDTA is known to produce birth defects and cause developmental disease, if ingested. We have kids; we know that everything is ingested when you have kids. Whether it be Natures gate organics shampoo, conditioner or cleaning supplies, lotions, you name, kids will get a hold of it one way or another.
If it is a product you use in your home your child will ingest it one way or another, it is a guarantee. The only way around this is to use organic and natural products. And we are here to help you; natural e market saves the day again. Do not use Natures Gate organic. Nature’s gate organics contains harmful chemicals that are manmade. Man did not make the earth and man has ruined it. So, why use anything manmade.
Nature’s Gate organics thinks that they need to use preservatives, if it is a natural and or organic product then why would they use any preservative other than vitamin E?
Nature’s gate organics is a bunk product and we will ensure that all those who come to our site will know this. Instead of Nature’s Gate organics product line we will tell you that as of now our products available in our store are safe for your use. As we determine new products that are suitable for use we will add them to our product line.
Just to reiterate, do not use Nature's Gate Organics, because they use harmful preservatives.
Deter the mosquitoes and unwanted pests naturally is something we have found recently the solution to our mosquito problems and we just had to share this with our readers. To keep the mosquitoes away you can set up a misting system around you home and connect it to a drum containing pyrethrum. Just set the misters on a timer system that will spray twice a day, once early in the morning and before evening. This should keep them away.
The pyrethrum system is pretty cost effective if you set it up yourself. Pyrethrum is an extract of the chrysanthemum flower seeds. The drums by themselves run about fifty dollars but should last up to six months so depending on where you live, how much you spray and what your personal needs are once or twice a year these will have to be replaced. Not so bad to avoid the bugs and keep your living space pesticide free.
Check out our online shop where we have some products to get you started. Naturally deter pesky bugs and mosquitoes.
So I bought this soap from the dollar store and I had to share it with my readers, it is called pears transparent soap. Smells nice. The ingredients are as follows:
This is a great dollar store buy, simple ingredients a no nosense product. Does not dry out your skin. Hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic. Manufactured in India, License in Kingston, Surrey, U.K. Distributed by Inter American Cosmetics, NJ. That is a lot of people being helped by one dollar. I love the dollar store.
Brentwood CA, this was my last destination, not by choice, rather, by effect, my husband’s travelling job. Thank God he has a job. So the kids and I pack up, ok I do the packing they do the whining, and follow the big man in our house to wherever he goes.
This time Brentwood, it is near Oakley and Antioch. I hardly know how to entertain a two year old and an infant in a hotel room so I try to locate local parks for the kids to play.
I gotta tell ya these cities are full of them, it’s just a matter of finding the darn things before your stay is through.
All the parks I found are in real nice neighborhoods and seemed to be safe for a wife and kids.
All the directions are from the main street Brentwood BlVD/CA-4 West.
Park #1 Sand creek to highland park. Ages two to six no swings
Park #2 Right on homecoming way, older with swings and slide structure, well shaded with seating.
Park #3 Water Park Left on Lonetree, left on o’hara, left on caraway dr/adams way of left on o’hara and right on adams way. This park is a blast for the little ones, well fenced, no swings but lots of other fun. Slides, climbing structures, picnic and covered eating area, not much shade.
Park #4 Lonetree left on Fairview right on sand creek left on carlisile dr. Ages two to three and up with swings.
Then we drove by Veterans Park which is on Balfour Road, this park looked to be a very large water park set up for older kids. Probably a cost to get in.
I hope that these directions are helful for any visiting this area soon .
All of these pictures are from park #3.
